Pedro Ramos

My name is Pedro Ramos. I was born in Bogota, Colombia.

At an early age, siblings and I learn about property management from my dedicated parents. We started to work at a very early age helping managing their businesses, but I dream has always been to live in the United States.

After High School, I decided to study in America. I did not how to speak English but my mother believed in me. She enrolled me in a small academy to learn English.  After learning the language, I came to America.  I will never forget her last words: “Do NOT speak Spanish with anybody until you learn how to speak English”.  I eventually attended an English academy in Berkeley Ca.

In California, I lived with a wonderfully intellectual family. The husband of the American family I was living with was the Dean of Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley. His wife is now a writer and she became a New York Times best seller.  We have built a great bond as they are my second family.  During that time I was also working part time at Twin Pines Elementary School as a recreational leader and Spanish teacher.

Suddenly, I was faced with the biggest challenge I have ever faced.  I wanted to attend one of the best universities in America: The University of California at Davis. I proved many a naysayer wrong when I received a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture and Managerial Economics.

During college, I was elected to the executive council of the University of California at Davis. Our council was responsible for a budget of about 3.5 million dollars. I was also a member of voluntary organization called Davis Community Housing Corporation, an organization which primary goal was to provide housing for low income families.

After graduating, I wanted to travel the world. My first job was to sell construction materials in Aruba to the major hotel chains. In Aruba, a Dutch company offered me a job marketing agricultural products in Europe. During this time I gained experience about marketing public relations and real estate (company kept buying and selling real estate).

Finally, I decided to come back to America .I got a job doing marketing for a developer, and during this time I met Mr. Billy Rocker, who offered me the opportunity to use all my skills that I acquired during my life , finally selling Real Estate Full time, my ultimate dream.

My wonderful mother always supported me with my early goals. She always told me to follow my dreams...
